ENTEROFLORA PACKETS is a re-balancing agent for intestinal bacteria with a base of lactic enzymes, yeast and vitamins.

It is available in packets. Banana flavour.

The main function of intestinal bacterial flora is that of blocking the colonisation of pathogenic bacteria and preventing the afflictions caused by them.

In order to naturally maintain the equilibrium of this bacterial flora intact, a healthy diet is necessary, with no preservatives, and a life style that is less sedentary than that characterizing more advanced societies.

More frequently, external factors intervene altering the quantitative and qualitative composition of these micro-flora and create an "intestinal ‘dysmicrobism’".

This "intestinal ‘dysmicrobism’" can come from:

pathologies (Escherichia-Coli, Shigella and Salmonella, other pathogenic viruses that cause intestinal effects such as diarrhoea and related damage to the mucous membrane. Irritable colon and diarroheic forms in the descending section.)

pharmaceuticals (broad spectrum antibiotics, antineoplastic chemotherapy, osmotic and contact laxatives, antacids containing magnesium)

diet (consumption of foods containing preservatives, excessive use of alcoholic substances, etc. The most common consequence is diarrhoea, frequently accompanied by the poor intestinal absorption of nutrients.)

ENTEROFLORA PACKETS is particularly indicated during and after antibiotic therapy, for states of diarrhoea, diverticulitis of the colon, after colonscopy, on patients affected from an irritable colon or those who habitually use laxatives.

It is also particularly useful in preventative therapy for recurring cystitis and vaginitis.

ENTEROFLORA PACKETS after five years of experimentation, is the first product designed to be able to certify a quantity of live cells in one package of not less than 1.5 billion till the expiry date (24 months).

In fact, each packet contains 13 billion, 850 million freeze-dried live bacteria.

Its rebalancing action is very high, which makes a single packet a day sufficient to bring back an optimal physiological equilibrium to the bacterial eco-system both of children and adults.

It can be kept outside the refrigerator.

The synergetic action of 4 groups of live freeze-dried bacteria (Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Lactobacillus Bulgaricus, Bifido Bacterium Biphidum, Streptococcus Termophilus), all regular colonizers in the human intestinal mucous membrane, guarantees the best pro-biotic action on the intestinal ecosystem

Lactobacillus Acidophilus: not digested in the gastric system; it produces lactase (an enzyme capable of resolving lactose); it possesses a great speed of colonization (it reproduces every 20 minutes).

Streptococcus Termophilus: it perfectly resists the greatest jumps in temperature (from -20° C to +44° C); it produces substances with an anti-toxin action toward other intestinal streptococci, staphylococci and bacterium coli.

Lactobacillus Bulgaricus: it possesses a high speed of reproduction and prevalently performs an action of territorial competition.

Bifido Bacterium Biphidum: it produces substances (acidophilina and bifidina) with an antibiotic action toward many potentially pathogenic bacteria; also produces enzymes that act on blood cholesterol, reducing it, and also on ammonia in the blood. There is a recognized immune-stimulant action.

With the association of these 4 groups of bacteria with 200 mg. of cells of Saccaromyces Cerevisiae (brewers yeast), a very rich substrate is obtained of amino acids, enzymes and vitamins with a high nutritional value and a notable increase in the level of bacterial production.

The brewers yeast cells have a high metabolic action and contribute to finally increase the speed of reproduction of the milk enzymes and therefore the re-colonization of the intestinal mucous membrane.
